Piano to Donate.
Judy Horne at FCC Fayetteville has friends who would like to donate a
piano to a church in the region. Judy asked that people contact her if they
are interested in seeing the piano or for further information. Her e-mail is jhorne@pgtc.com and her phone is
479-267-1022.
Here is the information Judy sent to me:
The family would donate the piano and I imagine they would pay for the
shipping, but I can't say for sure. The churches need to know that the piano
will need a lot of rebuilding inside (might cost up to $5,000). If the family
doesn't have to ship it far, then they might pay the repair cost. They really
want the piano to be in a place where it will be loved and cherished, where
the people will take good care of it. The piano was built around 1918. It's a
Mason and Hamlin "parlor grand" piano. Repaired pianos of this time
period are selling in the range of $16,000-$25,000. Thank you.

Rev. Steve Wallace, Little Rock AR,
is the recipient of a grant to enable him to spend this program year
(9/1/07-8/31/08) serving our region as a consultant and resource
specialist. His hope is to create a
ministry of coaching and resourcing congregations beyond the GRR after this
year, and the grant allows him time to explore this new kind of ministry and
gives us another valuable resource for congregations, which is in addition to
our usual ministry with congregations.
Look for a mailing from him and a link from our webpage to his in the
near future. If you want to find out
more call Steve Wallace at 501-217-9129 or email at swallacegs@aol.com. You can also check out some of the
possibilities at www.wallaceresources.us.
